Dorado a Color y proyecto Kalaña

The recently art exhibition, inaugurated at “Sala de Exposiciones del Plata Salvador Rivera Cardona”, Dorado town, is proud to show “Dorado in Color” and its project: “Kalaña” by Sofia Maldonado. This artist has been exposing her art for more than ten years, choosing Latin and Afro-Caribbean women as her theme of preference. Our artist lives in a constant search for transformation, and through the use of color, achieves her desired goal.

This series of nineteen watercolors are the product of her residence at arte_FITS.FOUNDATION in Dorado. The striking greens in Dorado’s surroundings are simplified to the maximum. It’s through her use of color that Sofía brings them to life.
