SEP-Urban Regenerator
arte FITS foundation has been working in Dorado since our Director Carolina Stubbe founded it in 2008, twelve years ago. The Foundation’s aim to address the interrelationship with nature by commissioning site- specific ephemeral artwork is inspired by the Land Art movement.
Urban Regenerator S.E.P. + La Marina Park
arte_FITS Foundation, in alliance with the Municipality of Dorado through its Cultural Affairs Department, has been developing the Sala Exposiciones del Plata Salvador Rivera Cardona. The Urban Regenerator Program aims to activate the cultural and touristic life of Dorado in the area of the Plata River and the Park La Marina through this exhibition hall.
The Foundation and Dorado have envisioned a complete transformation of the area by establishing an alternative, active and novel space with various uses to elevate the community’s enjoyment to previously unimagined dimensions. According to this vision, other relevant adjustments have been implemented to offer attractive cultural programming: workshops, exhibitions, conferences, summer camps and varied activities to enrich the life of Dorado’s inhabitants and visitors.
“Dorado es Verde”
This was arte_FITS FOUNDATION’s first approach in the Sala Exposiciones del Plata to promote the importance of the relation between art, nature and community in which it exists.
The objective was to create a strong platform for the production of events related to the arts and Dorado’s environment as well as strengthen the collaboration between both public and private institutions so that art, social responsibility and environmental values were consolidated as the key factors for an integral development of the community.
